The Gross Motor Function Measure is a clinical tool designed to evaluate changes in the gross motor ability of children suffering from cerebral palsy. The GMFM tests children in the lying and rolling, crawling and kneeling, sitting, standing, walking, running and jumping positions. The child is required to show different motor skills and the score depends on his/her performance.

The GMFM is the only worldwide accepted evaluation tool that may measure the motor development of a child suffering from cerebral palsy.
