The PEDI (Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory) test was developed in order to provide a detailed clinical evaluation of the functional abilities of children aged 6 months to 7 years. It may, however be used on older children whose funcional abilities are lower than the corresponding abilities of 7-year-olds without any disability.

The PEDI test evaluates the self-service, motor and social ability of the child.

The PEDI test is a measurement tool for the therapeutic progress of the child and is used to suggest the areas where intervention is needed.
